FTP Folder Trouble

If you're having trouble viewing, using or accessing your FTP window when you click the "Image Bin (FTP)" button near upper right corner of your web site backend, follow these instructions to ensure that your browser can handle browser based FTP (which is what the FTP button attempts to do for you).

If you follow all the instructions but it STILL says "Page Cannot Be Found" or something very similar to that, OR your browser simply DOES NOT HAVE the "Enabled FTP Folder View option shown below, you will need to try reinstalling your Internet Explorer browser to fix the problem. Go to www.microsoft.com/ie/ for a new browser, free. Make SURE to perform a FULL INSTALL, so that the FTP functionality is installed too.

You may need to change a setting in your Internet Explorer browser so that you can drag files from your desktop into your FTP folder.

Follow these simple directions:

1. Open your Internet Explorer Browser.

2. "Tools" up in top menu bar area

3. Select "Internet Options".

4. A box pops up, click the "Advanced" tab there near top right side.

5. There is a setting that says something about "FTP folder view" (wording varies depending on your browser) - make sure the box is checked.

6. Click "Apply" and then "OK" to close the window.
Try launching your FTP folder from within your web site Control Panel area - the button is near top right and says "FTP".

For the technically inquisitive:

What does "FTP" mean?

File Transfer Protocol. This is an industry standard term, used for referring to a remote file directory, but for your purposes, think of it as your "Image Bin."
